But seriously, we need dollars to fund an important program that delivers hope, support and cuddles to thousands of children across Australia whose lives are impacted by epilepsy.

Living with epilepsy can be really tough. Daily life is often a combination of seizures, family upset, isolation and even rejection. Epilepsy can be a frightening and traumatic experience for anyone, but especially for children who aren’t able to understand what’s going on.

We bring smiles to the faces of young children whose lives are impacted by epilepsy with our Ted-E-Bear Connection program.

We give young children an adorable Ted-E-Bear for them to keep forever, along with information and resources to educate and support them and their families during a difficult time. Our hope is that we can provide one of these special bears to every child whose life is touched by epilepsy around the country.

The information and resources accompanying each bear contains details on epilepsy and our services, such as: Online Academy, Epilepsy Essentials, MyEpilepsyDiary, Strong Foundations, Seizure Safety and the many other ways we can support and assist them. Each family is also enrolled into the ‘Ted-E-Bear Connection’ program for ongoing support and introduction to the other families via the Bears’ own Facebook page, creating a “connection” between them. Many families can feel isolated and find comfort in being able to relate to others in a similar situation.

Giving a Ted-E-Bear is like giving a child a lifelong friend. They provide cuddles, comfort and emotional support during tough times. Many of these bears have become an important part of the family and are essential in helping children to understand and deal with epilepsy.​

Right now there are hundreds of children and their families on our list, but our resources are limited.

If you can help us today, we can reach more children and families in need of comfort and support.

We’re in the business of making people happy, so if you can’t help that’s ok, we don’t want you to feel bad. But if you can, donating is a great way to reduce your tax bill and feel great about yourself at the same time!
